I am winding down my graduate studies and in order to graduate I had to complete an independent research project as well as present it publicly.
Overview: Through a fantasy themes lens, I evaluated all of the news stories from CNN and New York Times with the key words “BP oil spill” during the crisis phase of the spill (April 20, 2010 to Sept. 22, 2010). From this analysis, three themes emerged as the most prevalent – Environment, Government and Economy.
